About STAAR
The STAAR Program's mission is to socialize, train, teach and empower today's youth with disabilities to transition successfully into tomorrow's work force.
The STAAR Program is geared towards assisting young adults with disabilities between the ages of 14-30. The objective is to transition today's STAARs into adulthood by teaching them daily living, job skills and appropriate socialization. The desire is to assist them in becoming independent or semi-independent member of society.
What Problem Do We Solve?
For many young adults with disabilities, support systems dramatically decrease after high school. Families often face a lack of structured day programming, job readiness training, and inclusive social opportunities.
STAAR provides ongoing, real-world learning environment where participants practice life, social, and workplace skills in authentic settings - not just classrooms.
We create opportunities where ability is seen before disability.
